Glendale, AZ - Dr. Craig Arthur Trueblood, 85, passed away on March 24, 2025 at his home in Glendale, Arizona.
Craig was born on July 18, 1939 in Phoenix, Arizona to Dr. Roger K. Trueblood, Sr. and Florence A. Felgar Trueblood. He attended Glendale High School and the University of Arizona.
He went to Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1965. That same year, he married Jane Elizabeth Wark. Craig returned to Glendale, Arizona to practice dentistry with his father Roger Sr. and his brother, Dr. Roger K. Trueblood, Jr. In the mid-90s Craig purchased a dental practice in Wickenburg, Arizona and moved there. He practiced dentistry in Arizona for 50 years and during that time, served his community in many roles. He was active in his dental fraternity, Delta Sigma Delta, the Rotary Clubs of Glendale and Wickenburg, was a member of the Glendale Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years, served on the Glendale Union High School District Board for 15 years, was involved with the Glendale Arizona Historical Society, volunteered for the Salvation Army, supplied dental care for migrant workers and worked with other civic organizations.
In 2018 Craig and Jane moved back to Glendale, Arizona and made their home at Inspira Arrowhead where they were beloved by many residents. Craig was very involved with Inspira. He played bridge, sang in the choir, acted in plays, participated in bible study, served on the board in both roles of President and vice president and dressed as Santa to give gifts to the Inspira employees at Christmas.
Along with his civic duties, Craig had many wonderful adventures with his family. He colored Easter eggs, wrapped Christmas presents late into the night, took his family on trips near and far, was a starter at swim meets, hauled horses to shows and so many activities in between.
Craig was married to Jane Elizabeth Wark Trueblood from June 12, 1965 until her death on January 27, 2022.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer (Mark Bussinger) and Melissa (Michael Watkins) as well as his grandson, True Watkins and many loving family and friends.
Craig will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a positive and cheery influence who touched the lives of many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Glendale, Arizona.
